2018年7月12日，在厦门大学国际学院举行隆重的客座教授敦聘仪式，厦门康莱德酒店总经理Mr. Michael Schmitt （施明德）被聘为厦门大学国际学院及海外教育学院客座教授。
厦门大学国际学院党委副书记伍伟平主持敦聘仪式，院长陶涛教授致欢迎辞，并为厦门康莱德酒店Mr. Michael Schmitt 颁发聘任证书。
随后，Mr. Michael Schmitt 开展主题为酒店职业经理人领导力的讲座，他结合20多年的酒店行业经验，以其独到的视角来谈领导力，一个小时的讲座，由浅入深，互动式和启发式的讲座方式让现场氛围轻松而热烈。
座谈会后，在学院副院长傅万里女士和办公室主任黄琛女士的带领下，厦门康莱德酒店总经理Michael，人力资源总监Cara Yang 和招聘经理Iris Lin一起参观国际学院和海外教育学院。

GM of Conrad Xiamen Was Appointed Visiting Professor of Xiamen University
On July 12, 2018, Michael Schmitt, General Manager of Conrad Xiamen, was appointed as Visiting Professor of International College and Overseas Education College of Xiamen University.
Mr. Wu Weiping, Deputy Secretary of the party committee of International College of Xiamen University, hosted the ceremony. The Dean& Professor Mr. Tao Taogave a welcome speech, and issued an appointment certificatefor Michael Schmitt.
After the certificate ceremony, Michael Schmitt gave a lecture on leadership of hotel professional manager. He combined more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry to talk about leadership from his unique perspective. The one-hour lecture was from the simple to the profound, the interactive and heuristic lecture style made the atmosphere relaxed and enthusiastic.
After the lecture,the Deputy Dean Ms. Fu Wanli and Director of Office Ms. Huang Chen showed and introduced the International College and Overseas Education College to the visiting team, which was constituted by GM Michael Schmitt, HRD Cara Yang and Recruitment Manager Iris Lin from Conrad Xiamen.
The ceremony ended with a nice group photo, and the cooperation reached a further step. Wish Conrad Xiamen have a win-win cooperation with International College and Education College of Overseas of Xiamen University in the future.
